The Religious School helps to clean Temple Shalom’s portion of Fayetteville’s Adopt-a-Trail program in 2019, kiddingly called the “Kosher Mile.” Temple Sisterhood supports the Jewish hunger organization Mazon, to help local food banks. Temple Shalom is well-represented in Fayetteville’s 2018 Pride Parade. Temple Shalom is represented in the 2018 Christmas Eve Dinner for the food insecure, part of the Sunday Supper Project.

The Social Action Committee assists Temple congregants in need and supports the local community, as well as Jewish causes regional, national and international. The Social Action Committee has been a long-time supporter of Habitat for Humanity, Canopy NWA, and in recent years has partnered with the Religious School in a commitment to Fayetteville’s Adopt-A-Trail program.
