As we write this final letter as your Co-Presidents, our hearts are filled with gratitude and pride. Serving this community has been an honor and a privilege. Together with you, we have achieved significant milestones and strengthened the foundation of Temple Shalom.
Policy and Procedure: We streamlined policies and procedures, improving efficiency and record keeping. These enhancements have led to better resource management and clearer communication, supporting Temple Shalom’s continued growth. We have also hired a new remote administrator who will help Temple Shalom continue this path.
Building and Maintenance: We undertook key projects to ensure our facility is welcoming and safe. Building upkeep and enhanced security measures have preserved our building’s beauty, safety and functionality.
Community Building Initiatives: We worked to continue the mainstay of Temple Shalom – coming together in community. We depend on each of you to foster a sense of belonging and engagement, and as always, we see it thrive at Temple Shalom. Additionally, we reestablished and reinvigorated vital committees that have enhanced involvement and effectiveness in various temple activities.
New Spiritual Leadership: One of our most significant achievements has been hiring a new spiritual leader who brings fresh vision and enthusiasm. Beginning July 1, Dr. Samantha Stinson will be our spiritual leader and religious school director. Her leadership will undoubtedly guide Temple Shalom into a new era of spiritual growth and engagement.
Looking Ahead: With new leadership beginning in July, we are confident in Temple Shalom’s bright future. Bernie Levitt and Diego Angarita Horowitz along with our new board members, bring fresh ideas and dedication to our mission. We trust they will continue to build on the successes of Temple Shalom.
We could not have done this work without the support of our community, board members, lay leaders, committee leaders and religious school leaders. Your dedication and hard work make all of Temple Shalom’s successes possible.
Thank you for being a part of our beloved Temple Shalom. It is more than a place of worship; it is where we find support, friendship, and inspiration.
May our Temple continue to thrive and may we all go from strength to strength.
L’Shalom
Erin and Melissa
